“Dancing with the Stars” host Tom Bergeron says he has told the producers not to ask him to do an interview with [lastfm link_type=""]Chris Brown[/lastfm]. The singer is still scheduled to perform on the show this week.

The host does not want to get into discussion about the outburst that resulted last week on GMA when reporter Robin Roberts asked questions about his former girlfriend [lastfm link_type=""]Rihanna[/lastfm].

“I did say to the producers it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something,” he told, Ryan Seacrest on Seacrest’s syndicated radio show.

“So don’t put me in a position where you’re asking me to not say something, cause I won’t really do that, I would be the same…even if it just a snarky little aside — you know, ‘How was your week?’,”

“They’ll probably have me in a Hanibal Lecter suit,” as he introduces Brown before his performance on the show, Bergeron said.
