Well, I called the bottom three dead on for last nights elimination round. If you haven’t seen or heard or don’t want to know yet I will save all of those juicy details after the jump.
What I will tell you is that I loved the new elimination night performance style send off instead of lining them all up and taking painstaking “more after the break” moments with the host.
I think pairing all of the contestants up and putting them next to each other in band situation made them better performers. Which made it even sadder to see two go home instead of one this week.
We got a dose of two weeks of our top 11, the judges used their only save for the season on Casey Abrams who we still are shocked that ended up in the bottom three last week.
So I picked Thai, Naima and Paul to be in the bottom three but you never know which way it’s going to go for sure until the names are called.
Before they got down to business past Idol winner [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Fantasia[/lastfm] did a performance and then [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jamie Foxx[/lastfm] did a collabo with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Will.i.am[/lastfm] for their new animated movie Rio with the song called, “Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)”.
Here’s the performance:
In the end Thia Megia local girl from Tracy, and Naima Adedapo got sent on their way home. It was sad, I give harsh critiques on Naima but she did one of her best performances ever with Jacob Lusk last night. The songs she has been picking to sing have not been showcasing her talent at all.
I’m thinking Paul McDonald should have gotten his walking papers, but that’s why you should always cast your votes so it can go the way you want to.
There were so many votes in last nights show, a whopping 55 million to be exact; and it’s the most votes the show has gotten so early in the season. So Casey ending up in the bottom last week and almost going home might not have been a bad thing for the show.
