Last night was another night where we were eagerly awaiting the bottom three to await the fate of one American Idol hopeful last night.
The show has been consistently more entertaining this time around where past seasons have proven tedious. Rob Reiner showed up to give the hopefuls some advice about acting and the movie business. The final eight dressed as zombies for a commercial and there were some interesting performances including a Country tune by the original “Idol” [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kelly Clarkson[/lastfm].
The last time Kelly Clarkson was on the stage performing for the Idol gang she was mad at Clive Davis and her demeanor was a polar opposite of last night. She was eager to talk to the host, but he was eager to move on to the next segment like the show was too packed to give her a little interview, it was kind of bizarre.
The bottom three was revealed Hailey, Paul, Stefano. It was time to see our next performance by the fire-topped, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rihanna[/lastfm]…she sang the song that folks loved at the Country Music Awards last week, this time without [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jennifer Nettles[/lastfm].
The bottom two were then revealed to be Stefano and Paul. The top 11 has released a girl every week until now, Hailey had an incredible performance with Casey Abrams earlier in the evening. There are even rumors those performances had great chemistry for a reason:
We ended the evening like we normally do with a farewell performance, and this week it was time for Paul McDonald. No more rhinestone cowboy costumes from the contestants of season 10. [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jennifer Lopez[/lastfm] asked him to please sing “Maggie May” by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rod Stewart[/lastfm] and he happily obliged saying, “No tears”.
