We expect someone to go home on elimination night every week on American Idol and we knew that the special guests were going to be [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]David Cook[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Katy Perry [/lastfm]but we had NO idea who would make a surprise guest appearance.

With Katy Perry’s new song “E.T.” it could have easily given her an opportunity to go the [lastfm link_type=""]Lady Gaga [/lastfm]route in costume and she didn’t.  It was all about her style and flava and what great dancers she had.  The number opened with a video of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kanye West[/lastfm] rapping and can I just say that Katy was giving it her all last night?  She was!

Then the unexpected  happened… Kanye showed up!  It was awesome, it was the one thing Twitter didn’t ruin for me last night, it told me who the bottom three and who the eliminated contestant was before it aired on the west coast , boo!  Let me tell you how it went down.

The bottom three last night consisted of Jacob Lusk, Stefano Langone and Haley Reinhart , but Haley was immediately sent back to the chairs after the announced her place in the bottom three, yay the girls get to stay. 

It was down to Jacob and Stefano and thank goodness America finally got it right this week, out of the two Stefano was the one who should have gone home.
