Thanks to high ratings and good reviews, The Voice has been picked up by NBC for a second season. Following ‘The Voice’ will be ‘Smash,’ a new musical drama starring ‘American Idol’ runner-up Katherine McPhee.

[photogallerylink id=72668 align=left]‘The Voice,’ which has garnered impressive ratings over its first few airings, will return for another season on Mondays from 8-10PM for the second half of NBC’s 2011-12 schedule. There’s no word yet on whether any or all of the current celebrity coaches — Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton — will return, as well.
