Yesterday in the Lexi Report I pointed out that [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Scotty McCreery[/lastfm] said that he and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lauren Alaina[/lastfm] were together from the beginning and would keep going, and then the kissed repeatedly?  Yes, it’s true so it wasn’t like we decoded some secret mystery when we put 2+2 together.

Today, he’s backpedding quickly.

He’s insisting that they are just friends he says on the kisses, “Oh no. We’ve been getting that question a lot today. It’s more like the brother-sister thing. She told him before the show that she was gonna do that, kind of like a joke.”

It didn’t LOOK like a joke playa! Especially since it happened more than once and on the mouth oh my!

What did Lauren have to say?, “I gave him a kiss, yes, in case anyone is worried. I love Scotty..he’s my best friend, one of my best.”

Whether they are dating or not, you know the rule: be single so you can sell more albums.   Scotty doesn’t have an album yet but he does have single and the song, “I Love You This Big” has already hit #1 on I-Tunes we barely heard it in the finale because he got all choked up, but that didn’t stop people from wanting it.

I think that this is going to be a huge year for the youngest finalists in American Idol  history.  Scotty is only 17, and Lauren is 16.
