Dr Gregg Homer, from Stroma Medical in California said he can use a laser tuned to a specific frequency to turn brown eyes to blue.

The laser actually removes the brown pigment from the iris, and the blue develops over a few weeks.

Dr Homer has developed this procedure over 10 years. It is irreversible because the brown tissue cannot regenerate.

Dr Homer says the procedure could be available inside the U.S in three years. It will be available outside the US in about 18 months. Gotta love American red tape!
