The music world has been abuzz since the Grammys Sunday about a possible [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rihanna[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chris Brown[/lastfm] collaboration. Rihanna’s co-producers Da Internz told MTV News that the feature on her upcoming single, “Birthday Cake” is “gonna shock the world.” Today, online reports claim that Brown is in fact featured on both the song and in the video for “Birthday Cake” and that he recorded a singing verse, and a rap verse. Earlier this week, musicians took to Twitter to voice their opinion on his Grammy win and performances while Chris brown vented back.
Chris Brown has disavowed his post-Grammy Twitter rant, claiming that he doesn’t write his Tweets. RadarOnline talked to a source close to the artist who says, “”Brown didn’t Tweet that, someone does his postings to Twitter and when he saw that he ordered it taken down immediately.” But another source says Brown’s mother is irate over her son’s behavior, telling RadarOnline, “She isn’t buying his excuse that he didn’t post it and she has told him that it is his Twitter page, and only he should be posting to it, period.”
Brown’s mother, a survivor of domestic abuse herself, has stood firmly by his side since he pled guilty to felony assault charges against Rihanna in 2009.
In related news, TMZ reveals that Chris Brown attended Rihanna’s birthday party in Beverly Hills on Monday night and was so paranoid about word getting out that he tried to force partygoers to sign confidentiality agreements. Could a reconciliation be around the corner?
