Producer Quincy Jones considers Diddy a great businessman . . . not a great musician. He says, quote, “[He] couldn’t recognize a B-Flat if it hit him, [but he] has a doctorate in marketing.”
On one hand, this is TRUE. Diddy’s business ventures . . . his clothing labels, his Ciroq vodka, and his production company . . . probably account for most of the money he makes nowadays.
He signed Faith Evans, 112, Cassie, Mario Winans . . . and he basically discovered THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G.
He’s won three Grammys, and he produced Mary J. Blige’s album “My Life”, which is one of “Rolling Stone’s” 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Diddy hasn’t responded.
