Lil Wayne has landed himself in some hot water after an interview on MTV’s Rapfix when he said “Flat out: I don’t like New York.” Many believe this sentiment stems from his 8 month stint served at Rikers Island, and the Nicki Minaj fiasco that happened earlier this summer at the Hot 97 Summer Jam.

Now, some NY Officials are chiming in on Wayne’s comments. New York State Senator Malcolm Smith is demanding an apology from the famous rapper saying this;

“New York City is the birthplace of the Hip Hop music movement. Millions of New Yorkers listen to his music every day,” read the press release. “His comments is [sic] outraged his local fans and residents. The group today will be demanding an apology of the hip-hop star. Lil Wayne has had misfortune in New York with recent gun charges and a jail sentence.” What do you think about Lil Wayne making this comment? Big deal or not?
