She performed at the Royal Wedding and now Ellie Gouldingis weighing in on the serious topics :fellow Brit Prince Harry’s recent photo scandal. While she was in the city, Ellie Goulding stopped in and talked to 92.3 NOW/New York about the expectation of privacy among public figures.

Controversial photos of Prince Harry with more than we’re used to seeing on display surfaced in late August. The incident occurred while he was on holiday in Las Vegas, NV with a group of friends playing a game of strip billiards in his private VIP suite. Goulding thinks that the famous royal may not have gotten what he deserved.

“He’s young and he has fun just like all of us. And he should be allowed privacy and I think that was unfair,” said Goulding.

As an artist personally asked to perform at William and Kate’s royal wedding at Westminster Abbey, Goulding was able to sit down with the younger prince and get to know him on a more personal level.

“I hung out with him and he’s a really nice guy. He takes his charity work really seriously and he takes his role really seriously as a prince, so it annoyed me a little bit that there was so much weird exposure about it,” she said.

In accordance with Prince Charles, the singer strongly believes that Harry did nothing wrong.

“I don’t think he needs to apologize at all; not a chance. It shouldn’t have been published the way it was. And also, who took the picture? Who ever that was — bad friend,” said Ellie.

Unable to comprehend how someone who is supposed to be a close friend can do such a sleazy thing, Ellie is all about common courtesy.

“You have to be able to have a few close friends that you don’t have to say, ‘Lets get rid of the cameras.’ I performed at the wedding, but I didn’t sign a confidentiality agreement, but I would never say anything, because thats just decency,” she said.
