Wiz Khalifa has some explaining to do. The Pittsburgh rapper is being investigated by the LAPD for allegedly being involved in a hit-and-run last Wednesday in Los Angeles.

A woman claims that Wiz damaged her car and sped off after working on a video shoot together, according to TMZ. The unidentified person, who filed a police report, said the crash happened as the “Work Hard Play Hard” rhymer and crew members were leaving the set.

Wiz has yet to respond to police inquiries about the alleged smash-up. But he is not the only rapper in the news for car crashes. Rapper/producer Soulja Boy Tell Em is being sued in connection with a June 23 car crash that took place last summer in L.A.

The rapper allegedly smashed his Bentley into the car of two individuals (driver Bobbiye Sullinger and passenger Herman Flowers). The two are now taking legal action against Soulja Boy for an online video the rapper made after the accident, in which he claimed that Sullinger and Flowers exhibited racist behavior.

The suit, which was filed on Friday, goes after the rapper for his racism claim, financial and emotional damages as well as medical expenses, property damage and a loss of income.—Keith Murphy, CBS Local
