Stephen Baldwin was arrested for failing to file New York State personal income tax returns for three years. According to local authorities his failure to pay up in 2008, 2009, and 2010 the actor owes $350,000 including penalties and interest. Mr. Baldwin pleaded not guilty and his lawyer maintains that Mr. Baldwin did not commit any crimes, he also reports that Stephen is working with the district attorney’s office and New York state commissioner of taxation and finance to settle any further disputes.

Stephen Baldwin presented the District Attorney’s office with a $100,000 check to show he was in good faith about paying back the debt he built up by failing to file income taxes in New York State in the years of 2008, 2009, and 2010. His lawyer claims the fault is on his financial advisors who were responsible for Baldwin’s finances.
