VH1’s Love & Hip Hop (Season 3), which takes place in New York City, debuted on Monday (January 7) night with the same drink-throwing drama that made the previous seasons so intoxicating.
While Season 2 in Atlanta showcased wild fights (Lil Scrappy “put his paws” on Stevie J), the New York episode ramped up the violence and drama from the jump.
Story Line #1 Tahiry, Joe Budden, Raqi
The drink thrower in the first episode was Tahiri, the fiery ex-girlfriend of rapper Joe Budden. First she flipped a table over on Budden, with drinks tumbling over. Later in the show, she tosses a drink at Budden’s “friend” Roqi, whom she also suspected was having an affair with Joe.
All the while, Budden and Tahiry are flirting with getting back together.

Teaser: The trouble continues next episode as Budden makes a confession and confronts a spurned Raqi.
Story Line # 2: Olivia, Rich Dollaz, Erica Mena
Manager Rich Dollaz continued his enterprise into the New York season. However, like Joe, Rich found himself caught between a girl he’s intimate with (Erica) and a female friend (Olivia). When he revealed the news that he was “messing around” with Erica, they had a sit-down that ended with Erica storming off.
Teaser: Looks like Olivia may be tapping out of the Rich Dollaz management triangle.
Story Line # 3: Mama Yandy and Mendeecees
Yandy Smith is expecting a baby and her boyfriend Medeecees doesn’t seem to be on the same page. At their baby shower Smith Mendeecees have an argument because he wants to go to a party instead of helping to load all the gifts.
Teaser: In the next episode Yandy confronts him because they are “shaking up” and it seems like the pressure is on for him to step down the isle. Meanwhile her baby may be facing some health serious issues.
