Actor Mark Wahlberg must still be a singer at heart. Although his days of performing as Marky Mark are long behind him, he’s still got a soft spot for the music industry.

In a surprising development, Mark told Anderson Cooper on Anderson Cooper Live he wanted to do a movie with pop singer Justin Bieber.

Mark was already in the works of selling a new movie idea to Paramount when he decided to drop another idea on them.

“We were at Paramount pitching a different movie and we had the meeting and I said, ‘Hey, by the way what do you think about me and Justin Bieber in a like Color of Money-type of basketball, street hustler movie?’” said Mark (quoted by RadarOnline).

And if you are thinking there is no way Paramount would want a basketball movie starring Mark Wahlberg and Justin Bieber together, well, think again.

“They bought it in the room in five seconds,” said Mark. “So we developed the script, the studio loves it, his camp loves it.”

Mark Wahlberg isn’t sure when his movie will hit the big screen since Justin Bieber is still on tour and he has his own current movie obligations, including Transformers and Ted 2 in the works.

“We will probably do it next year,” added Mark. “If I don’t do it, we will do it with him and someone else and I’ll produce it.”

But, as of now, Mark has plans to play the hustler in the movie and Justin would be the kid he’s mentoring who plays basketball. If this movie does come to live, Bieber Fever will reach new heights.
