Just this week the news broke that Lil Wayne and Miami Heat had some problems that Lil Wayne claims got him banned from the NBA. That part wasn’t true but Lil Wayne did cause some side problems that he will have to deal with! So who’s next up to the plate to cause problems at an NBA game?
Wale…..
Tuesday night, the Toronto Raptors were in D.C. to play the Washington Wizards and Wale just happens to be a huge Wizards fan! Of course Wale was sitting front row and started yelling things at his FRIEND on the team, Rudy Gay. It caught the attention of Raptors TV announcer, Matt Devlin, who thought Wale was heckling Rudy. Devlin referred to Wale as a “local rapper” and said he wasn’t familiar with him. THEN Devlin took to twitter asking all his followers if they knew who “Wale” was and he added, “He’s not Drake, that’s for sure.” BURN.
Wale saw the tweet from the front seat at the game and tweeted back, “watch your mouth”. Then Wale actually confronted Devlin at the broadcasting booth and yelled something at him. It is unclear what was actually said but some fans heard Wale say, “I heard what you said. That’s not cool.” Wale made a statement later saying he was just saying hello, introducing himself and saying he wasn’t angry. There were some contradicting tweets from Wale after the game that made it seem like he was still upset but a rep for the Raptors is trying to smooth things over with Wale by inviting him to their next broadcast in Washington.
There’s no word on whether or not Wale is interested.
