Wednesday Charles Barkley turned 50 years old and the very next day he raised over $50,000 for a school right here in Sacramento.

The Mustard Seed School is right here in Sacramento and part of Loaves and Fishes. The school helps kids ages 3-15 and was established in 1989 to provide a safe learning environment for homeless children! Yesterday all the kids in the school gathered around the TV to watch Charles Barkley win some money for the school during celebrity week on “The Price is Right”.

So how much did Charles bring home for the kids? A Grand TOTAL of- $67,633!!! That is amazing! Angela Hassell, from the Mustard Seed School said, “It’s a significant portion of our budget. It’ll help us alleviate some of that worry, some of that tension of finding funding. We’re really excited”

Charles also played a couple other games during the episode, one including him biding on an old Kenny Smith basketball card which is perfect since Smith used to play for the Sacramento Kings.
