Mitchell Marcus is a student and assistant coach for the basketball team at Coronado High School in El Paso, Texas. Mitchell has had a love for basketball ever since he was toddler and has always been the biggest supporter of the Thunderbirds, his high school team. Due to a developmental disorder, Mitchell doesn’t play on the team but is Coach Peter Morales’ right hand man! Mitchell is always on the bench or on the sideline cheering on his team and the last game of the season was no exception. Coach Morales wanted to do something for Mitchell who he calls “An amazing person that our basketball team loves being around” so with ten minutes left on the clock, with the Thunderbirds leading by ten, he told Mitchell to suit up! Mitchell was passed the ball countless times but just wasn’t able to make the basket. With seconds left on the clock a member of the OPPOSING team did something remarkable that will make you cry tears of joy. Check out the video HERE or watch below:
