Tyson Foods Inc. Recalls Chicken Nuggets Due To Contamination

Tyson Foods Inc. had to recall over 130,000 lbs of chicken nuggets due to possible plastic contamination.

In a statement released by the USDA you should check to see if you’ve purchased these products:

  • 5-lb. bag containing “Tyson FULLY COOKED PANKO CHICKEN NUGGETS” with a “Best If Used By” date of July 18, 2017 and case code 2006SDL03 and 2006SDL33.
  • 20-lb. bulk packages containing “SPARE TIME Fully Cooked, Panko Chicken Nuggets, Nugget Shaped Chicken Breast Pattie Fritters With Rib Meat” with a production date of July 18, 2016 and case code 2006SDL03.

Luckily no one has reported any illness due to the consumption of these products yet. If you have any of these products you should dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase. Read more the USDA statement here.
