EDM (Electronic Dance Music) fans all over the world are feeling the experience that is Nuthin’ Under a Million. This Los Angeles based five-some which consists of Tommy (TB), Milana, Tony, Shandra and David (DJ); found themselves being a much talked about international craze. N.U.M. had no idea at the time that co-writing and demoing a record for producer friend Fuego would end up in the hands of 50 Cent. His artist, Hot Rod, soon recorded the super track “Dance With Me” marking Billboard charts while still leaving TB and Milana’s vocal dynamics on the record.

Milana says, “We started referencing our own records that we wrote and produced for other artists.” “Record executives and A&R’s would want to leave our voices on the records and would ask why we weren’t a group,” notes Shandra. With these rave reviews, this power squad decided to run with the idea of becoming a worldwide recording sensation.

Their debut record “The World is Mine” is house infused with pop and dance and a touch of euro swag and is a true essence of who they are. “We want to transcend boundaries and make this a universal anthem,” adds DJ. He continues, “It’s us. It’s our sound.” Each member brings a different element to this group due to their versatile backgrounds which originate from Latvia, San Francisco, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Los Angeles and genres ranging from House, Electro, Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, Dance and Gospel, which allows for an explosive performance that is undeniable and a must see by all. What can start out as one thing can always lead to something greater which indeed has proven itself to be just that. Expect Nuthin’ Under a Million from this mini troop. They are immersing themselves in this journey and soaring to unexpected heights in the world of music. Check them out!

With help from a heavy tribal beat, Beyoncé’s latest song, “Grown Woman,” which leaked last night (May 20), touches on the power of femininity. Whether single, married or somewhere in between, this Timbaland-produced ladies anthem is seemingly meant to get every woman up on her feet singing, “I’m a grown woman/I can do whatever I want.” Let’s consider it the sequel to “Run The World (Girls).”

Mrs. Carter has always been a powerful figure in music, but on her latest song there is a new (and different) sense of confidence here. She starts off the track by letting people know she’s been working at this since she was a little kid and she’s no one-trick pony: “Told the world I’m gonna paint this town/ Now b****** I run this.”

On the track, a snippet of which debuted in Bey’s recent Pepsi ad, she continuously touts her power. She sings, “They love the way I walk/Cause I walk with a vengeance/And they listen to me when I talk/Cause I ain’t pretending.” She ends it all by explaining that it took some time for her to get this ego boost and she’s not giving up on it anytime soon. It’s almost as if she’s letting all the ladies know, “If I can do it, so can you.”

When she delivers lines like, “I can be bad if I want/I can say what I want/I can live fast if I want/I can go slow all night long,” it’s clear she’s not apologizing for anything anymore.

Rockin’ a big ol’ afro and classic 70s gear, Drake joined the growing lists of celebs in Anchorman: The Legend Continues according to E! News.

1.  Beating Around the Bush-  In hunting, it’s sometimes necessary to beat or stomp on the underbrush to scare the animals out.

And the term originally described an unwilling hunter who would “beat around the bush” . . . but not actually kill anything.

2. Going Balls to the Wall-  Which means you’re pushing yourself to the limit.  And no, it’s not a “dirty” saying.  It’s an old term they used in aviation.

The top of the levers that controlled the throttle and fuel mixtures were both shaped like a ball.  And if you pushed both of those forward . . . toward the front wall of the cockpit . . . it made the plane go faster.

3.  Biting the Bullet-  Which means to face up to something.  But before anesthetics were around, injured soldiers would literally bite down on a bullet to help get through the pain of an amputation.

4.  Getting Someone’s Goat-  It means you’re intentionally trying to irritate someone, but it’s originally a horseracing term.  Nervous horses sometimes calm down if you put a goat in their stall with them.

But sometimes rival owners would steal the goat, so the horse would freak out overnight and lose the race.

5.  Making the Grade-  It actually doesn’t have anything to do with school.  It’s an old 19th century railroad term, and “grade” is short for “gradient” . . . which means an incline.

Engineers had to make sure trains wouldn’t encounter any inclines that were too steep.  And if you “made the grade,” you were within the safety limits.

6.  Passing the Buck-  In this case, “buck” doesn’t mean currency.  The phrase comes from an old English card game, where a “jackknife” or “buck” was passed from player to player to indicate whose turn it was.
